We traded Jezebelle for Lolly, and I'm in love. She is such a sweetie and very calm.
she is getting her dewlap
Although she cannot be shown due to a missing dewclaw, Kassima's daughter, K1P4, will stay with us and become a breeder. We are hoping for some Grand Champions out of this adorable doe. :)
Max and K1P4 get along great and love to run around the living room chasing each other. When I ask him, "Do you want to play with your bunny?" he gets excited. I'll see if I can get a good video of them playing for the next post.
Kassima's litter is now 15 weeks old. Four of them went to their first show last weekend (two does, two bucks) and they all placed last in their class. I took one more bun that was not qualified for show because Kass overcleaned it and took off one of its dewclaws. Of course, this was the kit that the judge said was the best...she said that we should keep her for breeding since she isn't showable. So I guess we have four breeders now (she'll be ready to breed in a couple of months).
Here are some pictures of the two does that were entered in the show and did not place well.
which is my good side? left?
or right?
I'm still learning how to pose the rabbits...not quite there yet.
K1P3 lacks rise and loin & needs to put her elbows down...
K1P5 lacks loin and has a low shoulder & i was told that she is over-posed in this pic...
K1P5- the top view shows her body shape which isn't too bad if you look at the outline
