babies born and growing & our first show

first, i know you all are dying to see photos of the cute little bunny rabbits. so here you go. a whole album of cuteness.

kassima's babies are 6 1/2 weeks old now and turning into chunky monkeys. soon it will be time to wean them. they were happy to see their mom when we came back from the show this past weekend. i was pleasantly surprised after the first show of the day when maverick and jezebelle both got 2nd place in their age group with kassima just behind jezebelle (because she still had milk for her 6 week old kits and could use a little extra weight). they didn't do quite as well in the second show but still did better than i expected. once jezebelle and maverick shed their coats and get rid of the stain, they will do even better on the show table. Here are a few pics from the show.

the show was really fun! i think our next one is in april and the babies will be old enough to go. 

meet the buns and watch preparation for new ones

who doesn't love a cute bunny face, soft fluffy fur, and a wiggly nose? in November we got a breeding trio of Champagne d'Argent for show and meat. we are now members of ARBA, WSRBA, and CDARF. our first show will be in March and we are super excited.

both of the does were bred in December and are due any day now. Jezebelle is overdue and we are seriously wondering if we were wrong about her being pregnant. but we are going to try to be patient and wait to breed her to Maverick until the full moon in February. until then, it looks like Kassima will be giving birth soon so here is a short video of her building her nest.
